Located directly above the village of Gevrey-Chambertin. From 6 plots of old vines, facing due east, at the top of the hillsides. 

Dark ruby color, a nose of red fruits, blackcurrant, cherry stone, aromas of liquorice, vanilla from oak and a touch of leather. Powerful with tannins associating mellowness and a good acidity.

Serve at  :  15°-18°C
Cellar potential  :  10 to 15 years

Soil  : Clay-limestone

Age of vines  :  1970-1985

Exposure  :  East

Location  :  Top of the slope

Culture : Mechanical soil tillage, plowing.

Harvest : Hand-picked with sorting at the vineyard then on a vibrating sorting table. 100% scuffed.

Winemaking : Vatting 15 to 18 days cold pre-fermentation maceration then 5 to 6 days alcoholic fermentation with periodic punching down and pumping over.

Ageing  : Matured 12 months in oak barrel (1/4 new).
